Jen Farrer is the founder, hand dyer & yarn stylist behind Train Track Fiber Designs. In her shop, you will find thoughtfully curated colorways inspired by all of the things she loves including music, flowers, birds & the ocean. The luxury yarn bases in the shop all have been selected because Jen fell in love with each of them, we just know you will too!
Jen has been a crafter her entire life and started knitting in 2006. Fast forward a few years & she is obsessed with dyeing yarn. With so much wooly goodness in her life, there was no way to keep dyeing without sharing it with the world! In 2016 she decided to open her online yarn shop.
The name of the yarn shop, "Train Track Fiber Designs", was inspired by its location which is few hundred feet from one of the major railroads in the southeastern USA. The sights and sounds of the railroad set a backdrop for the studio.
We currently offer several luxury yarn bases including, 100% merino, BFL (Blue Faced Leicester), a lovely "kitten soft" MCN (Jen is big cashmere fan) and we have sparkle yarn with silver stellina. We have sock weight, fingering weight, sport weight and DK weight bases. We have mini yarn skeins and a monthly yarn club too!
Jen also hosts a weekly knitting vlog, Knit in the Zone where she talks about all things yarn, knitting, sometimes crochet & other fun topics!
